Cubs go Spring cleaning
Cubs from Forest pack were tasked with taking part in the Great British Spring Clean this week.
Fifteen Cubs picked seven bin bags of litter in just one hour in New Ash Green Village Centre and community spaces.
The Cubs aged 8-10 years old were not only providing a community service, but learning about good citizenship and the importance of not dropping litter.
Cub Scout Leader, Julie Bass said: “The cubs genuinely enjoyed doing their bit for the community and we were able to talk about the importance of keeping our environment clean. This is the first evening it’s been light enough to do our bit, and it was very much needed.”
The event was held as part of the Great British Spring Clean, organised by Keep Britain Tidy, where thousands of individuals and groups around the country volunteer to help clean up their community.
