MORE THAN 90 young people, leaders and parents joined 500,000 Scouts from all over the world to take part in Jamboree on The Trail - the first time that Ash Green Scouts had ever taken part in this annual event.

The Scout Section set out from Farningham Woods, the District Campsite and yomped over to Horton Kirby where they were joined by the Cubs. From there it was on to Fawkham where we were met by Beavers for the final leg back to New Ash Green and some burgers.

The event was organised by leader Mark Spurgeon who was delighted with the turn out. "The support from the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts was great," he said, "and I was delighted at how many parents who joined us for the final leg as well. Many thanks to my fellow leaders for their support."
