Group Executive Committee

The Group Executive is responsible with the Section Leaders for the management of Ash Green Scouts. They provide resources to ensure your child receives the best quality Scouting.

A good Executive is vital to the successful running of Scouting and we have a new but highly motivated team under the leadership of Chair Emma Jones, a New Ash Green resident.

Also on the team is Ginny Spurgeon, Group Secretary; Josephine Hastings who is Treasurer and Alan Petts who is chairman of the Village Association.

Pam Godden serves on the Executive but also plays a key role as Group Administrator, working directly with the Leader team, ensuring our administration is completely up-to-date and that all the relevant forms are submitted to the proper authorities. Pam also attends Leaders' meetings.

The organisation of fund-raising is a key activity for the Group Executive as the monthly fees go nowhere near covering the cost of running the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. We would welcome your support - either serving on the Executive, helping us raise funds or coming up with ideas to improve the quality of Scouting.

If you can spare some time - the Executive takes up about 10 hours a year - you could make a real difference.

Click here and we will be in touch with more information. There is absolutely no obligation at this stage. The better the Group Executive, the better our young people's Scouting experience.
