Explorers (14 - 18)

The Explorer Scout Section is organised differently to the rest of the Group. Explorer Scout Units are independent of individual Scout Groups. Several Troops will feed an Explorer Unit.

Our Explorer Scout Unit is in nearby Hartley. We are called Speedwell and we take part in loads of really adventurous activities such as mountaineering and expedition work.

As an Explorer you get to take part in all the usual great Scouting activities such as kayaking, climbing, orienteering - as well as projects supporting your local community.

You can work on a wide range of awards and badges.Just look at the choice on offer:

As you approach the age of joining Explorers, we'll sit down and discuss it with you and your parents. Who knows? One day YOU might be back in New Ash Green as an adult leader. We certainly hope so.
